I am being kind of lazy tonight and am combining three stories to save time and space. Two are SCOTUS decisions and one will get there eventually.


High Court Won't Revisit Fla. Felon Voting

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court refused Monday to review Florida's lifetime ban on voting rights for convicted felons, a case that would have had national implications for millions of would-be voters.

Justices declined to hear a challenge to Florida's 19th century ban, which applies to inmates and those who have served their time and been released.

Atheist Plans Lawsuit Challenging 'In God We Trust' Motto

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to review a ruling that the inscription "In God We Trust" on the front of a government building in North Carolina does not violate church-state separation.

And again the Court was not required to comment or give any hint why cert was denied and due process was not served.
