Hi is this a quality gun? It has not arrived yet. I paid 150 all together. It has a brass frame and its in 44 cal (really 45). Can this gun take repeated firing. I bought an 1858 Remington from Cabella's a while ago but it needed a major over haul after a while. Is there any parts I should buy to beef up the internals after a while.

Pat, Are you sure that's a brass frame? The frame itself doesn't look brass, just the back strap.
I haven't seem Piettas new guns but they replaced all there machinery a few years back and say they are now producing much better quality guns.
Even the Uberties need work from time to time but for the price of these guns are hard to beat and the cleaning up and fine tuning is all part of the fun to me, Mike
PS I have been looking at the same gun to ad to my collection.
Here is a brass frame at a rediculous price,Lol.

Is it a brass frame or brass grip? If it is a brass frame have fun with your $150 toy and sell or trash it or hang it on a wall when it wears out. If it is a brass grip and steel frame you can shoot it a bunch with some good loads.

Its a brass frame thanks for the honesty though. Maybe I will get a steel framed one as well. I purchased too fast on this one.

Bate's first c&b was a brass frame replica. He shot it quite a lot killing quite a number of West Texas Jackrabbits. After a while, the frame stretched and cylinder endshake got so pronounced that it woundn't fire. He screwed the cylinder pin in a turn and tightened it up. He managed this about twice before he deemed the gun worn out. He now has two old brass frame .44s. One is still tight and It probably hasn't been shot a whole lot- It's an Armi San Marco and the chambers are all different sizes making it not the most accurate gun in the box. The other one is an old Uberti from back when they made Brass framed guns. The cylinder travels back and forth like a piston.

That Brass Frame will last you jus' fine...don't shoot Warthog/Hot loads in them. Keep um lubed and cleaned. Stick to a diet of 18-22gr of Goex FFFG 25gr Max Black Powder, and don't use 777 FFg in it. Hot loads tend to stretch the arbor in the frame, refrain from doing that and it will last you many years...you done ok and have a nice .44 Brass Reb Gun there, have fun with it.
