Does anyone know the rate of twist on the oringinal Springfield and Enfield rifles? Also, where can I find technical specs on these original guns?

I believe the Springfield had a twist of 1:72".
See Claude Fuller's "The Rifled Musket" for more information.
The Pattern 1853 Rifle Musket had a twist of 1:78".
See The Enfield Rifle Resource List (http://www.researchpress.co.uk/firearms/britain/enfield/index.htm) on my www.researchpress.co.uk (http://www.researchpress.co.uk) for information on Enfield information sources.
