Folks, a friend of mine has a S&W 442, and another friend is looking to get one, but at the gun show last weekend, happened along some new S&W .357s, 2",(I believe they are J frames) that have fiber optic front sights. He would like a 442 with a fiber optic sight, but hasn't found any 442s with fiber optics, only .357s.

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to add a fiber optic sight to a 442?

Anyone know of a new 357 S&W model that is closest to a 442 (blued, aluminum, not scandium or titanium)?

Thanks so much in advance!:)

If the front blade is pinned, it's pretty straight forward. S&W uses www.hivizsights.com

I've got red/orange enclosed version on my 325PD. It works quite well and the clear resin overmold makes them almost as durable as regular sight blades.

Good Luck...

Joe
