870 Frontsight--Solder It?

Quick question, If I get a Trijicon ghost ring set for an 870, I'm assuming I should budget in having it soldered instead of glued, right?
Any benefits at all to having it glued instead?

Yeah. It makes a great diagnostic tool. You'll know you're looking at the front sight if you actually see it fly off.
Seriously, I once tried epoxying a bead base, and it lasted one shot.
Vang comp advertises sight installation, and I've been trying to get around to calling them to see if they solder (I've got no local gunsmiths, so I have to call/ship for everything). How about whoever calls first post the answer?

Does your barrel have a bead? or a bead on a base? My 870 has a bead on a base. I heard the Wilson front sight is pinned to the base.
Not sure if that helped :uhoh:
