Hello I'm looking for a 3 point sling (tactical sling) to put on a Remington 11-87 and a Remington 870 tactical. I plan on purchasing some rifles and would like to use the same sling on all of these guns. I also would like a sling that works on either side because I am ambidextrous. The reason I am looking for a 3 point sling is so I can let go of my shotgun/rifle and draw my pistol without dropping the long gun on the floor.

Does anyone have some suggestions.

I've used spector/cqb solutions slings for the same purpose as you. But, I'm not sure if they are really ambidextrous, the sling is mounted off to the side of the mag tube so that the shotgun won't torque upside down when you drop it. I think it might be reversible but it's not something you want to be switching out often.

As for using the same sling on multiple weapons, I'm a bit confused, unless you're looking to get the same sling type for multiple weapons, the same sling for the 870 is probably only going to fit the 870 well, and not say.... a sks etc.

I purchased a "Sling 101" from Brownell's. Works great, and doesn't cost much, either.

Take a look:

and do a search for 3 point slings, or just slings.

You could find the plans from ar15.com and make one for around $10...

Thanks for the posts. I want to have the slings be interchangeable between my shot guns if possible. Once I put the sling on I won't be switching hands.

Best to keep one sling per weapon.
