I purchased a Browning 20 ga micro hunter for my son several years ago and now, as they are want to do, he has grown taller and needs a longer stock with my drop at comb. For a while I added some shims to the back of the stock but now the drop at comb is getting to be a problem. I found a synthetic stock at Midwest.com for $144 which has the same dimensions of a factory stock for a full size gun but am concerned about doing a do it yourself stock swap with the spring that extends into the stock. I would imagine that that spring is compressed pretty tight.
Any thoughts?
