Wow are you easy... J/K anyway I am looking for a pistol lanyard, but not the coiled blackhawk type... something to hang my 340PD around my neck while sleeping in the tent, fishing etc...:confused:

Maybe you could get these guys (http://www.stellarrigs.com/gun_neckchain_rigs.html) to make your girraffe the shoes it needs. They already make shoes for llama and gazelles, so I don't see why they couldn't custom fit yours.

I would just go to a local camping/sporting goods store. You can get one that has a fastex buckle incorperated for detaching it. I realize the 340 is light but you will probally hate having it dangling around your neck. I would use it to attach it to your belt. Then in the tent make a loop for your wrist if you are worried about it finding its way to the bottom of the sleeping bag.
