S&W:Round butt vs square butt

How do you tell if a piece has a round butt vs square butt? I have a Chief's Special Airweight (pre model M37) that I would like to get new grips for, but I'm not sure about it's "butt". With the grips removed, it looks pretty "square" to me, except the front to the grip frame does have a bit of a bevel to it.
Anybody, . . Buehler? Anybody?

What is the model number inside the yoke??
It looks like a jframe sort of, are you sure its a smith?
I would say its a square butt Jframe, and someone rounded the corners on it, only the jframe smiths use a coil spring, but IIRC taurus revolvers usee the coil spring on small and medium/ compact frame revolvers.

Thanks all.
Master Blaster: yes, it positively a S&W--says so on the frame. I've already had it somewhat dated over at the S&W Forum. Told me it's a "pre-model 37" Chief's Special Airweight.
So square butt it is.
