I draw the line at the SW500 unless, and that thing weighs at least 20 lbs the recoil will likely be killer.:uhoh:

I dont think that thing would be a wrist breaker...

isn't .50bmg powder really slow burning?

so wouldnt only a fraction of the powder have a chance to burn before the bullet exited the barrel?

flamethrower, yes, wrist breaker, I have my doubts.

You'd better hope he's crawling in the doggy door, because you need a lot of badguy between the entrance and exit points to slow that bullet down.

Do you think they make holsters for that thing? Maybe a nice IWB for concealment. I can see that as a very effective BUG.

Of course I've never been considered the deepest end of my families gene pool either.

I knew someone, somewhere would do something like this eventually.
CA, NJ, NYC, & MA should have a ban on it pretty soon.

I could make a holster for that boomer

Picture it

Vertical shoulder carry

1 1/4" wide shoulder straps

Strip of horizontal loops on opposite side to hold ammo and counter balance

Oh yeah its alllllllll good

See ya

If you notice underneath the barrel, is a small piston. It looks as though it's got a hydraulic or pneumatic shock absorber, like a mini-howitzer.

It's obviously a "just because" weapon. Who was that .50 BMG kit maker who got busted, Maddi-Griffin? He had cut his single shot rifle down to a pistol almost a decade ago IIRC, there was even a picture of a young girl firing it.

Between the wasted powder and large muzzel break, it wasn't probably that punishing. Within a yard, the burning powder will probably do more damage than the .50 BMG slug itself.

Now, a really lightweight (comparitively speaking to milspec ball) .50 hollowpoint with a faster burning powder, assuming the action can handle it...

That thing sorta reminds me of the old sayings, "For every sailor, there's a boat," and "No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

Though technically 'interesting' (and maybe a bunch of fun, maybe - ), in the course of lugging that thing around, you could have had a useful rifle.

I was going to post about that pic of the young girl, but couldn't remember who the manufacturer was. The girl was 11-13yrs old, IIRC. And the article said she handled it okay. Yeah that was in the mid-90s or so.

Yeah, there'd be a lot of wasted energy in a standard milsurp round. Just pull it apart, put the powder in the garden, and reload with about a quarter pound of Bullseye. It'll be a big improvement.

Regards.

Of course this is the Thunder 50BMG, the most powerful handgun in the world. It would blow your head clean off. So the question you gotta ask yourself is, do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?"

lets hope that wheelgun doesnt shave! the shaved bit would look like a chinese throwing star when it flew out and stuck in the neck of the guy next to you.

seriously, the six-shooter is a joke right? that doesnt actually exist does it?

far as the single shot one, id shoot it. anyone have one the want to let me shoot?

AJ was the one that nailed it, the company made it to show off their recoil reducer. That's what's riding under the pistol, they figured they would show it off by making this pistol.

If it ever goes into production (let's hope not) ALL .50 BMG surplus will be banned.

I'm not much of one for revolvers but... I'd love to have one of those. A friend of mine at the range is always showing up/off with his .500 smith. I'll bet that would shut him up... I'd even let him fire the first round!

Could I have one in a semiauto?

I don't think it would be bad. I shot a 45-70 3" revolver and it was almost boring. The barrel just wasn't long enough for a rifle round.

tg: that's a .600 Nitro Express Thompson Encore. The owner (not the man in the vid) fired one light load, almost smacked his head, and has stated he won't fire it again himself unless someone puts money up first...

Take your pick...

a) Good for tweaking liberals.
b) Good for shutting up macho friends.
c) Good for shooting anything you damn well want, it sure ain't getting up again.
d) Good for making it now illegal to manufacture AP ammo in .50 cal :(
