Cleaning Shotgun Barrel and Chokes???

I run a "BoreSnake" cleaning rope thru my shotgun. Is it ok to do with the chokes out of the barrel or will it ruin the threads of the barrel???

Leave the chokes in. You could drag debris into the threads if they're not in there.

Leave them in. Once the bore is clean, take the tube out and make sure it's free of crud and then put it back in. This ensures it's not stuck in there.

And use choke tube lubricant on them too. No need to take out tubes except to put in a different one IMHO, those are tiny little threads and easily dinged.
