I got invited to a party once that had the express purpose of "booz'n, flooz'n, and jacuz'n." Said so, right on the invitation.

Presuming "jacuz'n" is the Kaliforny version of democracy, I think I can understand what's going on here. Sounds good to me. Cultural upgrade, more or less. ;)

BTW, the party was a complete dud. (Classic liberal reality thinking, i.e. wishing will make it so.) What would you expect from a bunch of ugly rocket geeks in the mid-eighties? I don't think they even KNEW any floozies. And the human stewpot remained empty all night. Probably for the best, really.

And I wouldn't wish Kaliforny democracy on anyone, just so we're clear. This place is fundamentally messed up.
