Besides Wikipedia, where should I go for firearms history. I need some links.

You might want to try the gun research board right here on THR: http://thehighroad.org/forumdisplay.php?f=31.

A friend of mine can give you lots of details about the early history of guns and the development of gunpowder.
In the forum at muzzleloadingforum.com, go to the Pre-Flintlock section and check out the second sticky post by a guy named Squirrelsaurus Rex.

I'd avoid Wikipedia, I used it one time and a college professor told me not to because it was not a reliable source of information.

The Modern Firearms (http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm) site has a lot of good info.
