I am wanting to scope my T/C Encore muzzleloader. What are your suggestions? Has anyone tried one of the Burris scopes they are advertising with a pair of Binos included in the deal?

sgtb: I confess not to be able to help you; I did, however, want to post a question: Why? Why would you want to scope a muzzleloader, especially something as beautiful as a Thompson Center Arms Encore?
I have always been mystified why folks would buy a primative muzzleloader (that was carefully designed to resemble early arms of an earlier period) then outfit such a primative weapon with modern technology such as a scope? That would be similar to going to a Civil War reenactment with a XM-1 Tank!
Sorry... regret the tone sgtb... I just never understood the folks that pursue muzzleloading then wish to make it modern...

The Encore is a modern muzzleloader not a primitive model. A scope only helps to use the range of this wonderful gun.

Most of my scopes are Leupold's, including that on my TC Encore. I only own one Burris, and it has done fine also. I have a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9 on my Encore. I like the higher magnification for threading the bullet through tree limbs.
Using a steel scope base is probably more important than which Burris or Leupold scope you choose. Both my buddy and I had problems using aluminum scope bases with the Encore. Redfield makes a 3 ring steel scope/base combination that has worked very well since we switched over.
