Greetings All,

I am trying to help out a friend with his muzzleloader. I've looked for trajectory tables for muzzleloaders with not much success. I have limited info and appreciate any help I can get.

Using a 50 yd zero how much bullet drop (rough guess) I will have at 100yd and 150 yd using the following:

Knight Elite with 24" barrel
150 ffg (3 50g. pyrodex pellets)
.50 cal 240 gr. Hornady Sabot JHP-XTP

Also, is it possible to use a .50 cal. sabot in a .54 cal. ? My friend tried this, and he is experiencing key hole impacts.

With that load you will be around 2 to 3 inches low at 100, and maybe 6-8 inches low at 150.
Don't bother with .50's in a .54... you'll mever get good accuracy, and it's probably not the smartest thing to try either.
