Senator John Kerry appeared on CBS's "Face The Nation" yesterday. The full transcript of his interview may be found here (http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/face_120405.pdf). In amongst the other inanitities, we find this absolutely classic political howler:

Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us. And Democrats have much more in common with each other than they do with George Bush's policy right now. Now Joe Lieberman, I believe, also voted for the resolution which said the president needs to make more clear what he's doing and set out benchmarks, and that the policy hasn't been working. We all believe him when you say, `Stay the course.' That's the president's policy, which hasn't been changing, which is a policy of failure. I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...

SCHIEFFER: Yeah.

Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that.

Thank God this moron Kerry didn't get elected president; by now the terrorists would be in the White House!

Some insist that the President is a joke. Consider the alternative. Kerry would actually make a better caricature for the cartoonists. Kerry teaches people not to listen to him because he doesn't know what he thinks and no one else can figure it out from him talking in circles. To say that he waffles is very fair. He wants to be the contrarian but can't quite figure out how.

It's only OK to do those things to white Christian males especially if they own guns. That being said take out Kerry's name and insert say Rush Limbaugh and that sounds just like his comments During Desert Fox, Somalia or the bombing missions over Yugoslavia in 1998.

Of course, John Kerry has never been known to make up stories about American Soldiers.

You know what? Our VOLUNTEER 19-24-year old American soldiers fight THE GOOD FIGHT.

This Kerry creature voted to send them to Iraq.

Now he is making up stories to portray U.S. soldiers as jack-booted thugs. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...

These lies support the U.S. Democrat Party. They also HURT the U.S.A. And they are distortions - has anyone called this bozo on his FACTS?

Political gain.

Shame on you John Kerry.

Since when does Kerry care about traditions, or religious customs. He would be all for forcing abortion into their laws if he could. Really who can take this guy seriously. :scrutiny:

It's just another Dem on the defensive. It's about damn time too! Ever since Bush's Veterans day speech, the Dems have been falling apart, now that THEY are the ones on the defensive!

About time, too. Bush let them walk all over him all year, and it took a Dem to make the caes for how the war is going (Lieberman)! I like most of Bush's policies, but I'd fire his P.R. people in a heart beat! :banghead:

There is no way that quote came from Kerry, one complete paragraph without his mention of "I am a Viet Nam veteran." Actually I have been wondering how much hunting he has been getting in this year, probably a lot since he is not so busy running for President. Jim.

Exactly, fire the PR. He should have talked to that woman that lost her son in Iraq, I forget the name. No one would remember the name if he had just took her in the first time. No media, no protester celebration.

Yeah, he did talk to her. And she gave an interview afterwards saying how respectful and attentive to her he was.

Then, after the left wing lunatics got ahold of her, she turned her story around, and made him out to be a heartless evil jerk who tried to threaten her. Not a good idea to give her any credibility. better to let her seem like the anti-American shrew that she is. In my opinion, he did the right thing not talking to her again. There are over 2000 casualties in the war now, and over 15,000 injuries. If he takes time to meet with all of them, and their families, he won't have time to do his job.

Bottom line, she doesn't deserve special treatment just because she protests. Maybe if she'd stop calling him a murderer?

Just got my newsweek/time/whatever it is... "library" material... had a bit in the "washington whispers" section about how Kerry just got back from a duck hunting trip... Found it funny they went all the way back to his "goose hunt before the election" to snipe that "kerry is a regular guy too"

Still can't quite imagine how he can hunt AND propose a bill to ban all centerfire ammo... (if i remember correctly)

J/Tharg!
