a friend is looking foe a 223 bolt and I found this at a gunshop near where I am travelling to. I will give some price comparisons before I start to give you an idea what Canadians pay. The best price I can find on a 12BVSS (standard stainless laminate) is $760 Canadian. The rifle I found is the 12BT with the blackened stainless match barrel and an adjustable stock with vents and accessory rail. This rifle is $899 Canadian. I have an old catalogue that shows it, but cannot find info on the Savage web page. Can anyone give me some insight as to how good a deal this is and to what you think of this rifle.

I have a 12FV in .223 which shoots very, very well. Down here you can get the 12BVSS with Savage's new Accutrigger for less than $550 (American).
