Flying the flag?

Not that it's a litmus for patriotism, but I'm wondering how many homes are flying the U.S. flag.

I'd say here in the city it's (sadly) about 10%.

Probably running 25% in my area. I used to put mine out on certain days (memorial day, July 4th, etc.), but it has been out permanently since 09/11/01.

Less than 10% in my area....no matter, she flies proudly in front of my home and will continue to do so until this conflict is over.

She's a fine old flag.......

Believe it or not, flags in my community are routinely stolen, probably by punk-*** little :cuss: s who live in the area.

I need to figure out a better, more theft proof method that I can still get to.

The one atop my garage flys 100% of the time. Has a floodlight on it with a photo-switch. The one on my front porch comes in at night. As was said, flags are routinely stolen in my area also. Bastards!

I see flags at car dealerships and the like... I've seen maybe 2 dozen in this area, which is probably less than 2%.

I have an enormous 5x7 in my window. We're "not supposed" to have anything displayed in our condo windows, but nobody's complained. :p The unit next to us has one small flag in her garden, and our Chinese neighbors a couple doors down has her entire driveway lined with small flags and one giant cardboard flag sign.

When I went to visit my folks in Pulaski, there's normally flags everywhere, and yellow ribbons were on the lightposts around the square.

Well, unfortunately, ours is inside right now because it has wind damage. Can't fly it till it is re-stitched.

Until a couple weeks ago, it had been flying 24/7 since shortly after 9/11/01. Montana winds take their toll after 18 months.

I've got one greeting all those who walk up my front walkway. Not a large flag, mind you, but she does the job.

I've got one on my porch all the time. I'm the only one in my little turnaround of 5 houses so I guess that's 20%. Everybody seems to have up yellow ribbons, though.

Mine was caked with ice and pulling the bracket out of the bricks, so I brought it inside to dry out.

Heck of a storm today.

Now there are no flags on my block. :(
