How about a dumb suggestion? Ruger. Those cylinders really should be factory fitted anyway.

Yep. Unless I'm confused again, Ruger insists that cylinder be fitted by their factory. In any case, they do not sell parts to anyone.

Ive ordered almost every part, bar the frame, of an old army for spare parts (which includes more then a few cylinder guides, bloody things). Id imagine you shouldn't have a problem getting one from ruger.

Might also try Kirst Konversions he also make replacement C&B cylinders

The black powder cap and ball Ruger Old Army being a Remington type black powder handgun can also use a .45 Long Colt Remington cartridge conversion cylinder to shoot .45 Long Colt cartridges. I have one and it works great. I ordered mine direct many years ago but now they are available from Brownells. Lots of fun.
