Gentlemen:

Sorry to hit you again, as I feel that I offer so little in return, but I'm on the road again, this time playing consultant, with the local PSU (People Storage Unit) located in Manassas VA. The nonresident CCW has been out for a month or so, and should be my Christmas present back home in NH.
Is there a local range available for pistol, the S&W 360 is on my list while the 70's CDS is in hand, and rifle, with an AR15A2 due to come down 1/06?

As for NH ranges, get an acre, make a good backstop, ensure the bullet flies over your own land, and have at it! Like you needed to be told.

Thanks in advance

If you're in Manasas, you're pretty close to the NRA range (very nice indoor range where you can shoot most anything short of a .50 BMG, also have a great firearms museum) at rts 50 & 66 iby Fair Oaks, and Blue Ridge Arsenal in Chantilly a bit further west out rt. 50 past 66. VA Arms is the best gunshop in the area (also in Manassas) A bunch of THR folks shoot at NRA on some Wednsesdays and most Friday mnights, check Rallying Point - Come, Have fun! PM or e-mail me if you need directions

Hey!

Like Mike said, NRA is the best range and Va Arms is the best shop. We frequently get together on Friday nights at NRA, so feel free to join in. I may be out hunting 01/06, but others will be at the range.

What's a "People Storage Unit"?

PSU (People Storage Unit ) = Motel 6 or similar civian bivouc accomodation, i.e. generic cheap hotel with minimal ammenaties for those working on fixed price gummit contracts, usualy with 7-11 nearby rather than a real restraunt. BT, DT.:neener:

Looks like I'll get some more info on the NRA range. After all, I've had a membership, on and off, for years, so it might be fun just to look the place over, shooting aside. Too, I always like to recon before I show up with weapons in hand.

The way things are working around here, I get to do 9 hour days in Woodbridge, and the commute in and back runs the normal day to 12 hours or so. That'll limit my shooting to weekends, I'm afraid, although it is possible I can get loose on a Friday evening after the first of the year. It'd be interesting to actually see some of the real people, after all. We'll see.

Too, by that time, the non resident permit should, given that I've carried 10 years in my home state, be in, and I'll not have to wander around naked.

The PSU definition could be lifted a bit: I stay in an apartment complex. But if you've no land, no room, no shop space, ect, it's a PSU to me. Of course, I don't live here, so it's acceptable to me in view of the wages I earn. If forced to live here, though, I'd be suicidal. Different strokes, I guess.

Thanks for the help.
