Looks like some HK variant with a folding stock. Could be wrong though.

It's either a Galil or Valmet. What country was the photo taken in?

Looks like a Vulcan Armaments HK Variant. I think it might be their Model 94 or Variant 94 or whatever their naming system is......

It's not an HK variant, the shape of the receiver is wrong. The receiver looks more Kalashnikov-like. Also, it's definitely chambered in 5.56mm, look at the magazine.

And Vulcan Armaments? Surely you jest.

I'd agree with Galil or Valmet. Tough to say from the angle; but I'd go with Galil since that looks like the stock on an R4 and South Africa exports a lot of trained people to those types of places as well as weapons.

Hard to tell in the picture. If I could see the rear sight I could tell the variant. Looks like a Galil, but the stock is a little different. I haven't seen that stock version. The forearm looks like one of the newer IMI exports, but I know there was a Valmet that had a forearm like that also. The mag looks like a .223 Galil mag.

HK? Are we looking at the same picture?

Looks kinda like an FNC.

Hungarian AMD-65. It's a short barreled (12" +/-) variant of the AK. The pic is of an Aegis contractor at an election materials warehouse.

Edited to add: Disregard AMD 65. I got a better look at the mag.

It doesn't look anything like an FNC. FNCs have an AR style magazine well, and the handguard is totally different. It is an AK variant, and like I said, I think it is a Galil or R4. Possibly a Zastava .223 AK, but I need a better picture.

Looks like a Zastava M21S (http://www.zastava-arms.co.yu/images/vojni/m21/m21_english.htm) to me. Not sure what it would be doing in Iraq (if that's really where the pic came from) or who the guy that's holding it works for.

I think so too.

The guy is a security contractor in Iraq, covering for their pre-election stuff.

Saw it on a news Web site...

Hmm. Must be a Bosnia & Herzegovinian dude, then? Unless there's some PMC using Serbian rifles.
