Benchmade question..

Did Benchmade ever make a manual version of the Model 9050 - AFO Auto?

I love everything about it. The blade shape, blade length, overall length, and the T6 aluminum scales are perfect for what I am looking for. The auto part of it is the only thing holding me back from purchasing one. I'm not all that thrilled about having one accidently open up on me so close to certain vital organs. :uhoh:

Carrying the 9050 Auto in a sheath is out of the question, also. :barf: It's pocket carry, or nothing at all..

(The BM 520 looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. If only it didn't have those stupid "bi-directional treads" for scales.) :(

Not that I'm aware of.

It now comes with a safety to make accidental opening less or a concern.

Buy the auto, remove the assist spring.

How hard is it to remove that spring?
