Hey guys. What kind of velocites can I expect from a 2.5" barrel with standard velocity 22lrs? About 900fps for a 40gr?
Thanks!

Depends on if you mean an auto or a revolver, to start with. Revolver barrel length is measured from the cylinder face, while auto barrel length is measured from the breech face. So a 2.5" barreled revolver is more like a 3.5" barrel automatic.
There's some data for a 2.75" barrel. A quarter inch shorter will probably only take 15-20 fps off those numbers.

Unreal... I was just about to post a thread wondering what velocities you can get out of a S&W 317 1 7/8" revolver, then I saw this thread. Like it when that happens...
A quarter inch of extra barrel length will probably add about 10-15 fps.
