PK-AS Zeroing Questions

I just remembered, now that I'm 300 miles away from home, that my PK-AS manual was thoughtfully provided in Russian. Anyone know what the zeroing procedure for this little beastie is? And how does one use the range reticle dial that is so ergonomically positioned under the scope body? Also, is this thing REALLY supposed to be used with the left eye, or is it best to use it with the right and a cheekpiece?

Mike, amused at the vagaries of Russian weapon design

Kinda!

It helps a little. I still don't quite grok the markings and intended usage of the bullet drop cam. I mean, I understand the concept, but the markings seem to be either WILDLY optimistic or I'm not understanding something properly. Also, the cam dial is a real PITA to turn. Like, so hard to turn that it trips my "you're applying to much torque, something is wrong" alarm.

Thanks,

Mike

Oh, wait...this isn't keyed to any particular ammo, it is just a covers 2 MOA/click... ok, this is making more sense.

Thanks,
Mike
