Well here are the pics of my new FN Hi-Power that I got in today from CDNN. Not too bad for 506.56 which included the pistol, cocobolo grips, an extra 13 round magazine and sales tax/S&H.

It is a favorite on mine. It has to often fight with my Marlin 1894C for trigger time at the range.

Do your grips fit on the gun? I got the same ones but I can't hit the magazine release with it on because it blocks the button on the other side.

mine cleared the mag release without any problems. I was looking at one of the pics of your gun and, I see what you mean.

Hi there flip180,
Beautiful HP. Let us know how it shoots!
Is the frame roll marked Columbia, SC? The cocobolo grips are gourgeous and a nice accent to the dark finish.
Man, I wish they would let me into that factory.

I'll have to check to see if it is roll-marked. It's locked up right now. It amazes me that a design as old as the Hi-Power is still so good that it endures to this day in the age of uber tactical pistols. It seems to reflect back to a time when style was more refined then.

Congratulations! Beautiful High Power. I have an old Belgian made Browning. Only difference from yours is the safety is flush with the frame, and it has the old "sport package" adjustable rear sight. I have the same exact coco bola grips on mine. They are great guns. You will love it. I have a couple of twenty round mags for mine which work as perfectly as the standard capacity mags. I've never had a malfunction, regardless of which mags I use. They tend to be very reliable weapons. Shoot it well.

My Spegels did the same thing.
Just take an X-acto knife and remove an ever so slight bit of wood from the mag release indentation on the right grip panel. It should work like a charm, then.

I just checked and, yes it does have the roll mark.

Hi Flip,
Sometime in its travels, your FN/HP was imported into the plant about 2 hours west of me in Columbia, SC.
I gotta give SC a plug somewhere in this forum.

Congrats Flip. Great looking HP. That gun looks really good, I love the matte black finish on it. And those cocobolo grips compliment the gun very nicely.
