Which Firearm For: Anyone or Anything- and so MUCH more.

1) Check the THR/TFL Library.
One will find Sticky posts by Jim March for instance on Checking out a Revolver. There are other Sticky’s and links as well.

2) Note the Top of Individual Forums.
Again one may find a Sticky with FAQs, or Links to pertinent threads.
Example: Shotgun Forum, Links to old TFL threads...-by Moderator Dave McC.

3) Search Function.
Pay attention to the Staff and Moderator’s names and Search using these for starters. These persons were chosen as Staff and Moderators for a reason.
Example: Curious about that family heirloom passed down to you? Need to find a manual? We have a specific forum - Harley Nolden's Institute For Firearms Research

More concise searches may be conducted in individual forums.
Example: Some folks hunt Hogs, others hunt Hawgs, yes there is a difference. Check under H&H Hunter for Dangerous Game and Hawgs here on THR.
At TFL take a look under Rich Lucibella.

4) Take note of Signature Lines of Posters.
Some will reveal Trainers, CCW instructors, Hunting Guides, LEOs, Military, Holster Makers, Gunsmiths, Firearm Dealers, Shooting Ranges and we have folks whom write and are published in Various Works – Have Written Works.
Example: http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com
Our own Stephen A. Camp.

5) Ask.
Many of us members have PM-ed or Emailed a Staff, or Moderator and simply asked “as to where or under whom would I be best to do a search under for this subject?”

Many Members have been PM-ed or Emailed each other and asked the same; I know I have.

THR and TFL from whom THR sprang forth from, along with Sister Sites – are a wealth of Responsible Firearm Information.

A virtual Galt’s Gulch if you will. That lady trying to corral 5 boys, that tall lanky fellow out in the desert, machinist with dirty fingernails, another grumpy old guy in a desert climate, that fellow with the great pictures and reviews.

Five foot -twelve ladies that know more about firearms, and history, Members of the Clergy, (some were not always and have more real world experience in Civil Wars and Hours upon hours of advanced training ). Members s that have a distinct accent and though not born here in the US, are now US citizens. Competitiors at Camp Perry, 3 gun, SASS, IDPA/ ISPC...you name it.

Editors for Various works here too, be it Hardcopy or Web, Need COTUS or BoR information? We have folks that can clarify and assist.

We have our International members as well, do not overlook these folks; they too provide invaluable contributions to our Gulch.

Be it what gun for a girlfriend, first gun for a child to learn on, shooters with special needs from infirmities, recovering from surgeries, where to get training, what to take if attending training, where to get information about a family heirloom passed down...

Like I said - we gots folks whom built that motor your are inquistive about. ;)

Regards,

Steve
