Unidentified gun in Delta Force movie.

In the movie Delta Force..... What is the gun that the terrorist with the beard (I believe his name is Mustafa) uses while on the hijacked 707 airliner? It looks like a H&K MP7 PDW, but I don't think that gun was in production in the 1980s.....
