Beamhit

I have the Beamhit 190 PMTS system, and I'm looking to buy the internal laser so I can do presentations from the holster. However, Beamhit wants $300 for the LT-500 transmitter, and another $40 for the transmitter sleeve (what fits the transmitter to the barrel). Those are prices from the Beamhit e-store...and I was just wondering if they can be had for less elsewhere?

Anyone have any ideas where?

I bought a LaserBlaster setup last year that had all the adapters for around $200, IIRC. Very happy with it, and it doesn't need the Beamhit computer. Search TFL for LaserBlaster because I think I posted the details there. Seems like LaserBlaster and Beamhit are related, and it seems that LaserBlaster was about be orphaned or something.

Try checking www.1st-shot-counts.com I ordered a beamhit set up for my department from him and he was great to deal with and the prices were very good. I am not sure what we paid for the LT-500.

Blackhawk, will the Laserblaster work with the Beamhit system? I know it doesn't 'need' it, but the reactive target is my whole reason for having the system ;)

Blackhawk, will the Laserblaster work with the Beamhit system? AFAIK, it will. The LaserBlaster just blips out a red dot like a laser pointer. Why not see if your Beamhit responds to a laser pointer?

I got a significant discount on the same system you have, Coronach, by purchasing it through the NRA. Maybe you could get the stuff you want that way.

FYI My beamhit does not react to the laser coming off of crimson trace laser grips, so that option may not work.

Yeah, Craigz, I probably have the same system you do. the problem is that I want to upgrade to the "internal" laser...which will cost more than the entire NRA package did. :what: I mean...ok, I get the fact that its a smaller laser and all, but c'mon. ;)

I got some different caliber rods for my Beamhit from Natchez (www.natchezss.com). IIRC, they have transmitters too. Might want to give e'm a call.
