OK, I have this old M1 Garand. It needs a new barrel and the stock rebedded. I can work on airplanes fine but I have no experience working on firearms. Is it possible for me to take on the project of rebedding the stock on my own without compromising my rifle, or should I just take it to my gunsmith? If I can do it myself, HOW.....
