I shoot rifles lefty & was wondering, which way does the M1A eject its brass? Shooting left handed, will it come bac towards me or straight of to the right or somewhere in between?

I think it varies a little depending on the condition and installation of the extractor and ejector, but as a rule... forward and to the right.
If I'm sitting still or prone, mine usually make a little pile about 4-5 feet in front of me, and about 3-4 feet to the right.

Same general direction on mine, pile ends up between 1 and 2 o'clock, 5-7 feet out (on concrete).

Mine ejects to the right and just slightly forward. I'm a lefty and have never been bopped by brass.

I'm a lefty and after shooting three M1A's and about three dozen M1 Garands , I've only had one Garand throw a case at me . Swapped the ejector spring with a shorter one and the problem was solved .
The M1A will excite you .

I remembr years ago shooting an AR 15, all the brass would go approximately on or very close to my right ear. One of the reasons I settled on the HK 91 & 93. Now, I'm thinking I need a M1A
Thanks for the replies guys
