Been irritated at the Army frame Remmie .36 re-bores, it is NOT a real Navy.
Anyone know of a REAL Remington Navy for sale out there?

Beartracker December 23, 2005, 03:08 PM Years ago Lyman made a true reproduction .36 Remington but they quit a while back. This is the first one I have seen in years and it looks like it's in great shape. Sent an email to these guy's trying to get some info on it and all they said was that it's in great shape and some old guy gave it to them to sell on consignment. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976634913.htm Manyirons December 23, 2005, 03:17 PM Thanks eartracker! You are kind! Manyirons December 23, 2005, 03:20 PM BEARTRACKER! Beartracker December 23, 2005, 05:12 PM Manyirons, Let me know if you get it. I was going to buy it but have decided to get the .36 1851 Navy for my next one. Also may buy the stuff I need for casting some balls and bullets for my Remingtons and the new colt. Haven't done any casting in many years. Manyirons December 23, 2005, 05:30 PM Have sent the Shop message awaiting response, will buy it! Manyirons December 24, 2005, 04:33 PM Second message, YET waiting response! Grrrr! Beartracker December 24, 2005, 05:27 PM It took a while for me to get an answer from them too. You may not hear from them now untel Tuesday. Maybe it would be better to call them on Tue. and tell them you want it. Have a good Christmas and stay safe, Mike mec December 24, 2005, 05:28 PM http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=33001&stc=1&d=1135463233 Here's one we saw a few weeks ago. I could tell it looked different than a Uberti .36 but we didn't have them together for a direct comparison. Gun not mine nor available for sale. Manyirons December 24, 2005, 05:33 PM Original? If not, looks like it deserves to be! Manyirons December 24, 2005, 05:34 PM It took a while for me to get an answer from them too. You may not hear from them now untel Tuesday. The guy had a bunch of originals, a wagon from the Lonesome Dove movie. A picture of a soldier in Uniform holding a 61 springfield and the springfield itself. Also a paper from the department of the interior granting the guy a 6 dollar per month pension for a bi-lateral inguinal hernia. Heck, for all I know he might have had the guy's truss around there somewhere too. Manyirons December 24, 2005, 10:06 PM Imagine that! Makes you wonder just where some people get these things!
