Greg Kelly is reporting from the Presidential Palace.

Apparently, we have most govt. bldgs. and a good chunk of the west side of the city along the Tigris.

Our guys are in the middle of Baghdad now for good.
Pray they all come out of this without a scratch.

I thought we were "pausing" and that the Iraqis were overunning our MSRs due to an insufficient ground force commitment... :scrutiny:

Oh all that changed, Tams.

We were able to get all of our troops into the Baghdad Airport, which is now a cut-off outpost totally surrounded by superior enemy forces...

Lots of comparisons to Dien Bien Phu and the American Firebase in Vietnam, the name of which escapes me at the moment... Keh Sahn?

According to the New York Times, we'll be defeated momentarily.

Baghdad Bob says "a few tanks" got inside Baghdad but his troops destroyed them. He also stated that, yesterday, they poisoned the Coalition troops and today, some Coalition troops are commiting suicide due to their hopeless situation.
DAMN!!! We'd better surrender before Baghdad loses any more troops!!!!!:what:

I want to see the Iraqi "Information Minister"'s face when the door breaks in on him the next time he's explaining how the coalition forces have been utterly destroyed; how can he reasonably expect ANYONE to believe the crap he's been dishing out over the last 2 weeks?

Did anyone else see the video clip of a statue of Saddam on a horse? One tank round vaporized it. :D

Yeah, I heard a sound bite this morning, evidently the Info Minister was running his mouth saying that no trooops hade made it in, a reporter asked a soldier what he thought and the soldier's reply was something like 'Hey, I'll go straigten it out, he's only across the street' Gotta love it! Gawd I never thought I would miss my Humvee!!

While U.S. troops are busily packing up "SH"-monogrammed guest towels to send home as souveniers, the Iraqi info minister is busily proving that De Nile ain't just a river in Egypt. Meanwhile, some ex-company grade officer (which makes me wonder when the talking heads are going to start getting their Strategy & Tactics tips from ex-junior enlisteds from the motor pool...) was on CNN pontificating on "How The Iraqis Can Win", which had me wondering "Short of a deus ex machina, that'd be an interesting thing to know..." ;)

Deus ex machina...

Uh... in this case, shouldn't that be "Allahus exmachina"? :)

No respectable senior officer is going to go over to CNN. ;)

Only one way the Iraqis can win. If the Iraqis set up a government, get their priorities set right, and petition the US government for admission into the Union as the 51st state, then, they can say that they won the war too. :D

How The Iraqis Can Win ...?

Simple - they have a new strategy now that we are helpless to resist: they are going to pound our fists with their faces until we are utterly defeated.

:D :neener:

The troops never claimed they were in the Information (Misinformation) Ministry. I didn't even hear Fox News report that. Fox News is overly optimistic, they make claims before it is validated and it is sometimes wrong. Don't believe anything on Fox News until it has been confirmed by at least one other major news source.
