Post what gun you would make if you had unlimited funds and time. Doesnt have to be entirely feasable.

I would take...

Stick mag like p-90 and g-11 loading from the top (inserted into a tube like thing so you can still stick attachemnts to the top)
When you eject the mag it sticks out of said 'tube' an inch or something.
Caseless ammo in 7mm bulletx30mmx8mm -- 7mm 100 gr bullet on a 8x30mm cartridge.
2 round burst, 900 rpm full auto, and single shot.
8, 10, 14, and 16" barrel options
MP-5 Style action firing from closed bolt

M-4 style collapsible stock and forward pistol grip, able to use a variety of attachments.

I think thats all...

If the nanoboffins ever actually begin assembling rifles atom by atom, we will get gadgets that are square and concentric to within a single atom. Now THAT should produce some accuracy! I’ll have a .338 Lapua magnum bolt gun, action continuous with the barrel, thank you. Please include 1000 rounds of dimensionally perfect ammo.

Money’s no object? A .470 Capstick SxS double, also with ammo.

Rifle
FN FAL with ambidexterous charing handle and 1913 rail interfaces on the gas block and dust cover of the upper receiver with M16 style BUIS to match and a plug for the original sight point on the lower receiver...or an FN SCAR as it comes from the factory. Hehe, lucky me, we might see them!.

Pistol
Springfield XD45 ACP, an HK USP compact .45 with 13+1 rounds of .45 in simlar sized frame or a Sig P220 in Commander size assembly with 13+1 capacity --all with a 1911 manual safety and a 4# short trigger pull and reset.

Gee, maybe I should just get a 1911? Actually, the SA loaded Champion was to be my next gun buy in January for a new carry piece, but the XD holds 13+1 in a nice sized package and 14 rounds over 8 beats out manual safety and better trigger at the moment, the Champion or the Sig P220 is next on my list, though I think they'll be hard pressed to beat out the XD for a carry gun. Though, I have to wonder, do I really need 14 rounds of .45 in one gun? :)

I'm old fashioned -- I'll go with a Colt Shooting Master in .45 Colt.

I have a New Service in .45 Colt that I laboriously soldered a new front sight on (the gun had been reblued, so the collecter value was nil). I zeroed it by filing the new sight (a 1/8" thick slab of steel) and milling the rear sight slot to match, shading it to the right to correct windage. This gun is a great shooter -- now a new one, with adjustable sights would be hard to beat.

Thoughts that come up: When/If nanomanufacturing becomes common, there is no way to implement gun control. Take my guns away? Sure, I'll grief over the emotional value, but OTOH, I have a self running gun factory in my basement, turning out guns even more effective than the ones you took away

After getting my P210 Necropolis, I'd commission a gunsmith to convert a 1911 into a serious match gun for shooting 2700 Bullseye matches, pick up a SW 52-2 and throw a pair of Rink grips on it.

Follow that up with a Pardini SP.

Throw in an STI Edge and a stack of magazines for good measure.

An Ed Brown Bobtail Commander 1911 with the ASP treatment.

Dehorned, teflon coating, gutter-snipe sight, clear lexan grip slabs with cut-outs in mag, ambi safety, and bobbed hammer.

I would like a few
1. Marlin 1894C converted to 30-357
2. S&W 36 with a 4" tapered barrel and a half moon front sight
3. Charles Daly Mini Mauser cut for stripper clips with a 16.5" to 20" mid taper barrel, in 6.5 grendel, w/ Receiver Peep sight, Globe front sight, in a Walnut stock similar to a Vietnam era sniper rifle. Not sure How I would put a scope on it but I would like something like a 1.5x6x33.

I would like to start a company that makes a 2k rifle. Something in a singleshot maybe break open, with a weight no more than 4.4 lbs or 2Kg, in an intermediate caliber, 32 mag or 38 spec.

I already have customized guns. Cash and time are of no concern to me. I also know what my next gun is going to be, and it going to happen real soon.

I might get a custom barrel for it in 400 corbon if that becomes available. ;)

I'd like a 148.392% reliable .22 long rifle match pistol that fits my somewhat smaller than average hand and cleans itself.

I have them.

Kelbly Grizzly II action, in a Kelbly/Six stock, with a Jewell trigger, and Hart "Smiley" twist barrel, smithed by Billy Stevens.

Kelbly Grizzly II action with a microport ejector, in a Rush River rail, Jewell trigger, Shilen Select Match full profile barrel, smithed by Ron Hoehn.

Try "10 shots into under 0.4" at 200 yards" and you'll begin to understand...

I would like a 6 or 8 barreled 22lr Gatling, gravity fed from a hopper so all I have to do is dump a 550 bulk pack in and they feed themselves. Just think of the fun 550 rounds of 22 can provide ........:neener:

A High-Power made entirely out of that new transparent aluminum, so I could watch the beautiful mechanical sequence that leads to the sights and sounds we all love!

Might have to tint the firing chamber a little, though. :o

Much sooner I'd like a pocket pistol about the size of a Colt 1903 Hammerless, but chambered for the FN 5.7 round.

A mouse gun, you say? A mouse that ROARED, I say.

A 6 shot DA/SA top-break revolver in a major caliber (.44 mag, or .45 Colt/.454/.460).

It would fire from the bottom cylinder for an exceptionaly low bore-axis.

Muzzle ported.

It would have a full weighted "over-lug" (remember, it fires from the bottom cylinder, like a Mateba), possibly with a recoil reducer, laser, or white light built into the over-lug, to make use of the space.

Integral Picatinny optics/accessory rail along the entire length of the top-strap and "over-lug", and underneath along the barrel.

Some of you might recognize that I'm describing the revolver from the Anime "Trigun". I'm not a big Anime (Japanese cartoon) geek, but I came across the revolver of the main character, and think it's wicked cool. Add some rails on the top and bottom, and maybe make use of the space in the massive over-lug, and I'd be all set.

If I can't have a real firing revolver like this, I see no point in these fanboy resin kits, but here's what I'm talking about:

http://www.sidkit.com/vashgun_img/vash_revolver.htm

If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to get one made. :D

Preach it, brother, preach it!!!

I'll agree on your choices.....

except that for the first, I'd take a Kreiger chrome-moly barrel, 30" if you would, please, in 6.5x284 Improved;

And for the second, a Stolle Kodiak action, in .300 Win Mag, again with a Kreiger barrel.

I'll have NightForce 8-32x56 on both, thank you very much. Now, is this too much to ask? (drooling quietly to myself) ;)

I wouldn't mind having a webley type revolver in 44 mag.
or a .50 cal AK.....
