Anyone's Benellis Run Perfectly w/ Sure-Fire + Sidesaddle?

Does anyone have a Benelli that runs flawlessly, no matter what ammo with a sidesaddle AND a Sure-Fire?

Granted I have absolutely no real experience as I'm still in the research phase of my Benelli purchase, but from what I've read from here, TFL, and GT, it seems only one or the other will function smoothly. You don't seem to be the only one that has had problems when adding both to the gun.

I read that attaching the sidesaddle with industrial-strength Velcro helps, but have yet to give it a go. I gotta call my buddy about borrwing his taclight.

Skunk, we've got four Benelli's in our armory, all of them have sidesaddles and Surefires, our armorer attached the sidesaddles and torqued them to a certain amount. They all work great, we use Federal Low Recoil 00 and rifled slugs.
Would have to ask our armorer how much he torqued them though.

Skunk,
My Benelli M1 wears only a Surefire 617F, no sidesaddle. Works perfectly with low recoil loads.
Re: attaching the sidesaddle with velcro. I'm not sure what issue that is designed to address. There are two issues you will encounter: (1) adding too much mass to an inertia-operated auto; and (2) overtorquing the mounting bolts, possibly warping the receiver.
Velcro will not help the former issue. As for the latter, velcro may help but using care to torque the mounting bolts will also address the issue. Aluminum receivers are more prone to warping under extreme torque than steel.
Lastly, Wolff Gunsprings makes a special recoil spring for Benelli autos to address the mass issue. Your M1 may work perfectly with a Surefire and a sidesaddle, but if it doesn't you can buy the spring and presumably fix the problem.

Out of the Benellis I've seen in classes, I've only seen one that ran with both attached.

I haven't had a chance to try them all yet. Mine runs fine with S&B 00 Buck.

Look for my posting about S&B 00buck loads, over 230+ shot in two days, they don't pattern reliably.
Spent an extra $30/case and get Federal so that you can do head shots at 15 yards.
