I heard somewhere that the new Mil Pro's now have rails.
Went to the Taurus site and all photos show them without rails.
Anybody know?... Thanks:)

I just received my new PT145. It has the rail. I may be wrong, but if you get a Mil Pro recently ordered from Taurus, it should have the rail.

Bought mine about 6 mos. ago. Love it. It has the rail. So did the other ones in the store...
ETA: Who makes lights/lasers that will fit that rail?

Yep. Absolutely. HOWEVER, there may be some older ones still in the supply line and still on dealers shelves that don't (a shop down the street has one without the rail). Looks to me like Taurus' experiment with gun of the month is winding down a bit. Large sections of their catalog have been discontinued.

Price and service was good. Quality seems very good. Just got it, haven't used it yet.
Thanks everyone for your answers!

As above. My Millenium Pro 9mm does not have rails. My MP .45ACP does, however.

Consolidating the line is probably a good idea, but for the Mil Pro rail/no-rail is a good choice to have. I'm not a fan of rails. YMMV.

I'm no fan of rails. Spoils the classic lines of the 1911s on makers that have them. When rails are on a gun, I prefer them to be somewhat subtle, as with the Glocks and Springfiled XD. The only application I can think of, outside of some sort of LE or military unit, would be on a home defense gun. You could leave the light attached and always have the light with you if it should become necessary to defend yourself in a darkened house.

I picked up a MP PT145 last January and it has a rail on it. But the "rail" is only about an inch long :scrutiny:
