Marry Christmas all, I have a question regaurding a Ruger Bisley Vaquero Single Six in the 4 5/8" barrel, I love the little gun but the trigger pull is worse than my stock glock! I was wondering what mod's or improvments you would suggest to help things along. For example I am considering a Belt Mtn. pin but don't know if a std. pin would fit the single six frame, also what springs and #'s would be good for a .22?
Thanks

Go to gunblast.com and under "archives," look up and read "A Poor man's Trigger Job" for Ruger single actions. It's so simple to do, it's rediculous, but works.

I have the same gun that HAD the same problem.I cut some coils of my main spring.Unhooked one leg from the trigger return spring and did some polishing. Now its better than ever.

Cutting mainspring coils won't affect trigger pull and may affect reliability, but dropping one leg of the trigger spring will help. Knowing what and where to polish should help the most.
Go to the Belt Mountain site and they list what pins fit what revolvers.

I've had better luck and gotten better results by just spending the $15 for a Wolff spring kit. The Belt Mt pins are generally for the heavier recoiling revolvers so that the pins can be locked into position and not mobe under harsh recoil. Not really a worry with the Single Six. What little it may tighten the cylinder up won't be enough to reallt effect accuracy in a fix-sighted short barrelled Single Six either. Especially since the bbls in them are generally bored for the ever so slightly larger .22 WRM. Maybe the have diff bbls on the non-convertable models but still...fix sights and short bbl...save the $ for ammo.
