I just picked up a box of Peters High Velocity 12 Gauge Rifled Slugs at the local Gander Mountain. They were $5.99 for 10 rounds. What I want to know is are these any good at all? I'm assuming that they just Remington Slugger slugs in a blue shell......Any info on these? I'm thinking of going back and getting some more if they are any good.

Interesting that you posted this, as I too went by Gander Mountain last week and picked up a 10 pack of their rifled slugs as well. I have never heard of them before, and was currious if any others had any experience with them. If the numbers on the box are correct, they are really moving at 1800 fps.

Thats what the box says. I haven't tested them yet, but if they are good then I am going to go back and get some more. It is about the cheapest I have found slugs for that quantity.

Shoot a couple groups with them. If the groups are nicentight, go back and buy as much of them as you can.
There's no ineffective 12 gauge slugs.....

I'd love to go shoot them.....but I'm in Williamsport and my shotgun is in Smethport and I'm not allowed to store firearms here where I live.
So I ask again, Any info on these?
