Found an unusual LW Commander..

Colt model 04840BAN. Stainless slide and aloy frame as normal but the roll marks on the left side of the frame say "COLTS LW COMMANDER SS" and the right side of the slide is totaly blank, no roll marks at all. No pony or series '80 on the slide either. It's an enhanced model with the duck bill grip safty, undercut trigger guard, flat top slide and no front cocking serations. I'll work on getting a pic or two. Anyone see this model before?

I'm not sure if the gun is suppose to be that way, but it happen occasionally that the wrong markings or no markings at all are applied to guns at the factory. I've seen a picture of a S&W revolver with the airweight marking on it that was an all steel framed gun.
