Got a NEW IN BOX, S&W Model 19-3 4" today!!!

Spotted it yesterday while shopping, had dreams of it all night, nightmares all day that it would be gone by the time I got there.

Gun is in perfect condition. No evidence of it being fired ever. Still had orig warranty card info, manual, bore brush, bore mop and screw driver in oiled paper wrapper and original matching box.

Target grips, slim hammer and trigger. Narry a blemish...

I promise picts and range report soon.

I know all about the dancin' over the M-19's.. I picked one up recently.

It only too me 39 years to satisfy the itch!!

I grin like a mule eatin' cactus every time I look at it.

Enjoy it..

PS Iggy, just what does a cactus look like when it eats a mule? or does the mule eat the cactus? why would a mule or a cactus eat each other?

Jim: My father used to say, "he'd grin like a jackass eatin' briers". This saying goes back to the Civil War.

Iggy: Thanks for bringing back fond memories of my dad. God Bess you! :)

I bought one of these years ago from my dad in near new condition. Beautiful gun. I love it. He had originally given it to my grandfather, then years later my grandfather decided he didn't want it around the house, so returned it to my father. My dad was thinking about trading it and said he hoped to get $200 out of it. It took me about 30 seconds to whip out the wallet and I was the happy owner. So now I'm in possession of a gun that belonged both to my father and grandfather. This thing is so smooth that I initally though that he'd had an action job done, but he swears up and down that he didn't and the gun came exactly the way it was from the factory (it's a 4 inch with a target hammer and trigger). I've been told by more than one gunsmith that blued S&W K-frame revolvers had the best out of the box action of any of S&W offerings.

Enjoy your gun. There's really nothing like a nice blued S&W (except for maybe a old blued Python or Single Action Army, but that's another price range alltogether).
