I cannot, for the life of me, find any decently priced (less than $1/ea) 7.62x54R brass. I know some of you reload it - where in the world do you get the brass?

The Buffalo Arms web site lists them for $0.40 each.

It doesn't help you any, but I bought some from another THR member. It is Winchester brass. I don't know where you would buy it retail from.

I purchased some Lapua brass (acutally 7.62x53 is the headstamp) from Midway about 2 years ago. It ran about .50 each (with shipping).

While you're getting set to load, be sure to slug your bore. My M39 Carbine runs .314", so I ended up using .311" bullets The stem that came with my sizing die was for .308" bullets, so I "borrowed" on from my 303 British dies- works like a charm!

Good shooting,
Doug

All Midway has is the Norma and Lapua - I'm not looking for that kind of quality... yet. I'll look in to the rest.

Thank you everyone!
