Need one that can do four AA to power my new Canon S2 IS. Of course, moderators, this is so I can take pictures of my guns and shooting. I don't know anything about 'em. Educate me, please.

If I were going to buy a AA charger right now it would be the Energizer 15 Minute Charger.

It's getting lots of good buzz at candlepowerforums. You can find it at Amazon along with four of the excellent Energizer NiMH batteries for $32.

A lot of quick chargers aren't as effective as the slow chargers but this one seems to be about as effective as slow charging from what I'm hearing.

If you have a Costco card, they've got an excellent deal going on Sanyo NiMH's and a charger. 6xAA's (2500Mah), 2xAAA's (900Mah), and a charger, takes about 2.5 hours for 4 AA's. $22

Sanyo's are some of the best comercially available batteries when it comes to high current drain. Engergizers and Duracell 2500's are pretty close tho, all good batteries.

I saw the Energizer 15 Minute Charger for sale at my local Wal-Green's drug store for $29.99 today.

I came across a Rayovac one for free! I did buy some Energizer 2500 batteries for it. If it doesn't work well, I'll probably pick up the Energizer charger.

Cool deal, just to make sure the rayocav charger is set for NiMH? Charging in a NiCD charger can cause cell damage.

Energizers are rebadged Sanyos from what I'm hearing.

From everything people can tell they appear to come out of the same factory. But what's interesting if the Sanyo's have tested consistantly better than the Energizers and Duracell's. Granted this is a small difference in capacity and unless you're running these cells HARD 3A+ you won't notice any difference.
