As of yesterday I am set to become the owner of a Romanian AK.:cool: I figure it will arrive either late this week or early next from SOG. SAR or WASR the ad didn't say. Updates will be posted as they happen.

Its a WASR-10. Picked it up last night. I assume that the thingamajiggy on the left of the reciever is what scope mounts go on? While I like the way the bayonet looks on the rifle, it just feels wrong in my hand. So are bayos interchangable between the various national models? Logic dictates that they should, however I was once told that logic is just a way to screw up with confidence.

So far only two complaints. 1) The gas tube is a real PITA to get in and out. 2) The stock is just a wee bit short for me.

The short stock works. Snap in with the rifle, get used to it. Handiness.
