Insight makes a shotgun mount for it's tac-lights, but only specifies what general models it will fit, not the specific "mounting types" of each model. For example, they say their type 900 shotgun mount will take the M6X, but I believe the M6X comes with adaptors for 1913/Picitinny, Glock/"universal", and S&W rails. Will all fit the shotgun mount?

Does anyone know more about this? I tried emailing the company a week ago but they never got back to me. I don't know if they ignored me or if no one was home for the week between Christmas and New Years.

My M3X (same system) fits fine on the Insight Shotgun mount. I use it on my M1S90.

Yeah, but the shotgun adaptor has to be a certain rail type--what kind is it? Would it fit all M6X rail types?

I looked on Insight's web site and it looks like the M3X only comes with 1913 rails, so it would follow that the M6X w/ 1913 rails fits, but what about the other types?

Mine came with two replaceable bars. It fits both my Sig and the shotgun mount, but I have to change the bar. Takes about 4 seconds to do it.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Chuck,

I read the manual on-line and I believe I know the part you are talking about, (I was wondering what the part was for), so I think you have been helpful, thanks!
