I need a lot of work on my photography skills. But here are my two favorite revolvers. Hope these pictures attach.

Ahhh - Freedom Arms eh - what more need be said :) I see one is ported for Casull - does the porting help a lot?
Nice pics, tho larger than needed. 640x480 or a bit over are just fine and saves file size too - for the poor folks stuck on dial-up ;). No crit - just a mention.
While we are enjoying such guns let me add to the pic aspect a shade - two of my favorite big boys :)

Say P95, what's it like to shoot the 45-70? Heck I shot a marlin 45.70 this summer for the first time and it really kicked hard. I can't imagine what a handgun of that caliber would be like, but it must be brutal.

The BFR is actually not as ''brutal'' as the .454 - slightly (marginally!) slower/softer recoil.
Thing is, it is a heavy gun, and tho grip needed to control the gun obviously, also is the need for allowing recoil to occur without too much impedance. A compromize of sorts.
It is not the sort of gun you take to the range to shoot three figures of ammo - but a couple of cylinders each time is good:). Reloading gobbles up powder too!

Well, I don't have a photography studio, just a kitchen table. :D It's just a .45 Colt, but it's enough.

This is my serious hunter, though.

The ported FA is a 357. I have to say "I think" the porting helps." But it's hard to say for sure. I've fired a lot of different 357s, but none this large. The closest in size was a 6" Python. The FA is a 7.5", and a heavier gun overall. It does shot very nicely though.
The field grade in the back is a 454, and as you know, depending on the load, can really kick. I need to scope the 454. My old eyes just can't get that gun close to it's potential.
I'd like to try one of those 45-70's some day. Love that Ruger. They just always look right to me.
Sorry about the size of the pictures I posted. I'm going through a long slow learning curve about how to do that correctly.

I didn't see a problem with picture size. Beautiful guns!
The barrel on my Contender with the silver scope on it is a .30-30 hunter 12" barrel. It's got a compensator built into the end of it and it works marvelously! Feels like a standard .38 in a model 10. But, it does make noize. Don't fire that ported FA in a box blind without hearing protection. I got my bell run first time I took a shot at a deer. Now, I take my muffs with me when I hunt with that thing. It ain't bad in the open, but in a box blind the compensator blows muzzle blast back into the blind with you.

How does your Millet versus the Holo stack up to each other. I've taken my Burris 2x off my SRH and am going to try either the Millet or the Holo. Which do you suggest and why?
