I know that it is now legal to transport small containers of defense psrays, Foxlabs included, in checked baggage on commercial airplanes. What concerns me is that the pressure in the baggage compartment is different than from the passenger compartment.
to what altitude/pressure is Foxlabs rated safe?
if it makes a difference, i am specifically concerned with the smaller 2-4 ounce sizes.

Not too bad... Definately makes it a little bit hard to not be identified when you get sprayed.

Most good pepper spray options paint your face a "nice and stingy krylon red"

mostly due to the cayanne pepper content..

Personally i've been sprayed for work with a lot of different stuff, and the one I carry and hate to get sprayed with is the Sabre Red.

Airline Mechanic here: There is absolutely no difference in pressure from the cabin to the cargo bins (just one big tube, ya know). the only difference would be temperature.(cargo bins being cooler but not below freezing) and the amount of fresh air circulation in the bin not configured for carrying live cargo. There is however a difference in pressure from the flight cabin altitude of aproximately 8.000 ft ASL and where you took off from. lets say sea level. The pressure does fluctuate but never rises above 8,000 ft asl unless there is a pressurization and air conditioning (PAC) system malfunction.
