What is the best price you have seen for a AK-47 SAR-1? I see them for between $260-325 depending on what comes with it. Any better prices than this? Should I just buy at a gunshow?

I have an AR-15 and want a AK-47 just to go along with the AR. Kind of like yin and yang, cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, Bloods and Crypts, O.K. that is enough.;)

The price you mentioned is right in the ballpark from what I've seen in the stores. Also, check out the Romanian imports; they look a lot more like the original, and are also available in .223.

I bought a SAR-1 in October. Paid $325. From the vendors innvetory, it looks like they got thier guns from Southern Ohio Guns.

My wood have a like finish. Neither the gas tube or front sight cants. Nor was there any trigger slap. I also picked-up a 1000rds of Wolf for $70.

Though a neat little gun, I wonder about the accuracy. I'm thinking about putting a shotgunscope on it to see how it behaves. I expect sub 5" groups at 100yards. Don't let me other rifles hear this... For my type of shooting, I may have been better with a bolt action 223.
