My friend and roommate asked me the other day if I wanted to buy one of his rifles. It is a SA M1A Supermatch.

The rifle is basically brand new. It has never been fired, just handled a few times.
Now, I've been wanting to get a .308 and it sure would look nice next to my M1! BUT, I don't shoot in competition, I know this rifle is capable of sub-Moa accuracy, is it too much rifle for my needs?

These are the questions I've been asking myself. He wants $2000.00 for it. He said that I get first dibs. I know these things retail for anywhere between $2100 - $2400 so the price is okay.

Does anyone here own and shoot a Supermatch M1A? Is it worth the money? If I buy it I do plan on learning it well. Let me know what you think.
