Old

New, not quite the same phrasing, different emphasis and target audience

Reminder of the fate of Social Democrats in Germany, SRs in the USSR and other moderate leftists elsewhere.

Very Nice!

I could picture a similar poster using from Atlas Shrugged

"When the policeman becomes the criminal - then the criminal must become the policeman" .

Paraphrased and going from memory.

Mr. Wolf,

How about a "responsible, well-trained government agent" like Rasta Narc? Use the frame from the video where he is whincing in pain as the Glock Fordee goes through his leg.:D

"I'm the only one in this room who is well trained enough to *bang* . . . shoot myself in the leg.":D

O.K., maybe just make up for THR, well, a few at THR, well, maybe just me.

Hey, Mon, don't touch that gun you untrained serf mon! Rasta Narc is here!

If you've got to use all capitals, that's definitely the way to do it. Excellent background!

It may not be subtle enough for you, but I'd put quote marks around the word "responsible."

Oleg, I love it, but would add Cambodia.

100 million plus were killed by their own governments in the 20th century...

The most impacts would be made by the following states:

Nazi Germany
Soviet Union
Cambodia
(and I'd throw in Cuba, because I hate Castro...)

Genocide in Rwanda was carried out using machetes, since they didn't have enough guns, and also didn't trust the thugs who were carrying the plan out...

Mongo the Mutterer, the newest national geographic has the stats for most killed, you forgot China with about 30M

Well, I can't seem to find it right now but I seem to remember that china had 30M, russia 20M and so on. There was a graph that showed numbers as circles of varying size.

I liked the old one but the new version is simply outstanding.

Only one quibble, Oleg... any German soldier wearing such a rumpled uniform, and unshaven, would probably have been shot by his own superiors before he'd had a chance to shoot anyone else! :D

Before 1944, maybe. After? I've got photos of Wermacht troops that look like armed hobos.

I like the idea of the modification by body count.

'Cept Rasta Narc is a real live individual. He or his laywers might object.

"a few million" should read "100 million"

I just used that poster in a forum in which someone said that they prefered that the only CCW'ers are police and government authorities. :)

The perfect application! :D

I prefer the wording in the first (understated) with the photo in the second.
Nice work.

I noticed that, too, PM. But then I thought-- "Perhaps it's portraying conditions near the front in late '44, early '45..."

I don't think that these actual photos can be beat, for the same caption theme. I'd love to see them with the ironic RKBA messages embedded.
