Legal issues aside, does anyone have any idea how many M14's are still left in inventory in various branches of the DOD?

Last I heard (on Culvers' Shooting Page, from a source in the know), there was sufficiently few of them that the DOD would not want to release them even if they could make money on them thru CMP sales.

Gotta remember, people, that the M14 is still officially deployed on a regular basis by various branches of the DOD. THey need the ones they have left!!

Steve, do you give up because there is no way that the current federal government is going to sell anything that has the potential to be selective fire to the civilian population and with that in mind, people still keep posting about it as it might happen? I might have jumped onto the band wagon too, but after Grey Davis still won in California, I no longer believe in fairy tales. Liberals have ruined the world for everybody.
