My wife and I have a small, part-time business selling knives on ebay. most traditional knives, including folding blades like a leatherman tool can be shipped through the US mail (no switchblades). Ignorant postal workers may need to look up the rules and the most ignorant (for example, in Los Angeles across from the Hertz Rental Car lot near LAX airport) will tell you that you can only send knives through USPS if you are sending them to the US Govt. These are just hard-core and ignorant socialists who don't know what they are talking about. The main concern is personnel safety and safe packaging. International laws must be observed if shipping overseas. We have shipped over 3,000 knives via US Postal Service in the last year and our local post office knows exactly what we ship.

I did hear about Leatherman supporting Kerry. What a self destructive thing to do. We have sold exactly 0 (ZERO) leatherman products and plan to keep it that way.
